Perrin Technique™ Masterclass & Cranial Bootcamp | Osteopathic Training in Michigan
The Perrin Technique Masterclass Workshop, hosted in nearby Rochester, MI, presents hands-on osteopathic techniques to help patients with ME/CFS, Long-COVID, and Fibromyalgia.
Led by Raymond M. Perrin, DO, PhD, renowned osteopath and neuroscientist, these three days will teach you an osteopathic approach that manually stimulates the soft tissues in the head, neck, back, and chest to direct toxins out of the lymphatic system and into the bloodstream, where they are eventually detoxified in the liver.
This structured, evidence-informed protocol is especially relevant for:
- Long COVID
- ME/CFS (myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome)
- Fibromyalgia
- Post-viral fatigue
- Dysautonomia / POTS
- Chronic pain and brain fog

This course does not replace a 40-hour cranial course, but provides a consistent, competent foundation for interdisciplinary providers.
Learn the cranial techniques that will be used in the masterclass or get a refresher on PRM, trauma-informed palpation, cranial strain patterns, Venous Sinus Drainage Protocol, CV4 release, Thoracic Outlet Release, and more.
This 5-hour immersive training offers a gentle, accessible, high-quality introduction to Osteopathy in the Cranial Field (OCF) for clinicians preparing to learn the Perrin Technique.
It bridges:
- Classical osteopathic cranial principles (Sutherland)
- Trauma-informed touch
- Craniosacral perceptual skills
- Basic cranial strain patterns
- Physiologic palpation
- Venous and lymphatic support
- Autonomic regulation
- Thoracic outlet and diaphragmatic techniques foundational for the Perrin Technique
Learning Objectives
At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Describe the classical five phenomena of the Primary Respiratory Mechanism (PRM) as originally articulated by William G. Sutherland, DO.
- Demonstrate trauma-informed palpation with <5 grams of pressure to identify cranial rhythmic motion.
- Perform foundational cranial contacts (vault hold, fronto-occipital hold, sacral listening) with accurate anatomic orientation.
- Identify common cranial strain patterns including torsions, sidebending rotations, vertical/lateral strains, and SBS compression.
- Perform the full Venous Sinus Drainage Protocol
- Demonstrate the set-up and safe application of CV4 (Compression of the Fourth Ventricle) to facilitate a still point.
- Perform a Thoracic Outlet Release and Re-doming the Diaphragm using classical osteopathic principles (Kimberly Manual).
- Integrate cranial, diaphragmatic, and autonomic findings into a coherent approach preparing for the Perrin Technique.
- Apply osteopathic cranial manipulative medicine (OCMM) appropriately within the scope of DOs, MDs, dentists, and allied manual professions.
